If a customer co-holds a basic bank account with a person over 65 years of age or dependent on others (with duly certified permanent disability of 60% or more), he/she can individual access a basic bank account, as long as he/she does not have other current accounts or by converting his/her account into a basic bank account. In the latter case, the account to be converted must be the only current account held by the customer, in addition to the basic bank account co-held with a person over 65 years of age or dependent on others.
