The National Plan for Financial Education is a project created in 2011 by the National Council of Financial Supervisors to improve the financial knowledge of the Portuguese population and promote appropriate financial behaviour and attitudes.
The Banco de Portugal, the Insurance and Pension Funds Supervisory Authority (Autoridade de Supervisão de Seguros e Fundos de Pensões — ASF) and the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (Comissão do Mercado de Valores Mobiliários — CMVM) coordinate the National Plan for Financial Education, which relies on a broad network of partners, including ministries, financial sector associations, consumer associations, business associations, trade unions and academia.
The National Plan for Financial Education adopted the “Todos Contam” brand, which reflects the shared vision of all partners’ projects and highlights the importance of financial education reaching the whole population.
Projects are showcased on the Todos Contam website — https://www.todoscontam.pt — and supported by the Todos Contam e-learning platform — https://elearning.todoscontam.pt. You can also follow the initiatives on Facebook Todos Contam and Instagram Todos Contam.
By 2030, the Plan will focus on two target audiences:
