Gestores de créditos autorizados

Credits assigned after 10 December 2025 can only be serviced by entities empowered to conduct this activity.

Only the following entities can provide credit servicing activities:

credit servicers, having their head office in Portugal, authorised by the Banco de Portugal;
legal persons having their head office in the European Union and authorised in their home Member States to act as credit servicers in Portugal through a branch or under the freedom to provide services;
credit institutions, financial companies, payment institutions or electronic money institutions having their head office in Portugal;
credit institutions or financial institutions having their head office abroad and established in Portugal through a branch or established in the European Union and empowered to grant credit in Portugal under the freedom to provide services.
