Banco de Portugal hosts conference on the challenges for banking conduct supervision

On 25 September Banco de Portugal is hosting a conference on Banking Conduct Supervision: new challenges 10 years after the financial crisis, in which various Portuguese and international experts will reflect on the banking conduct supervision work agenda and its growing challenges, including financial innovation in a digital environment. The conference will be held in the Money Museum.

This conference also aims to recognise the banking conduct supervision work carried out in the last 10 years. Panels will discuss topics themed according to Banco de Portugal’s workfronts in this field: Banking regulation: recent developments and future outlook; Banking conduct supervision: surveillance in a digital environment; Financial education: young people in the digital age.

The opening address will be delivered by the Governor of Banco de Portugal, Carlos da Silva Costa, and the closing address by the Vice-Governor, Luís Máximo dos Santos. The programme for the conference is available on Banco de Portugal’s website and the Bank Customer Website.
