On 6 May, the International Financial Consumer Protection Organisation (FinCoNet) published a Briefing Note on Supervisory challenges relating to the increase in digital transactions, especially payments.
In this report, FinCoNet analyses the impact of the increasing digitalisation of payments, accelerated by the increased use of digital channels as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The main challenges for conduct supervisors and the approaches being taken to mitigate risks, particularly cybersecurity risks, are also identified.
