Credit institutions, financial companies, payment institutions and electronic money institutions may act as credit intermediaries and provide advisory services for credit agreements in which they do not act as lenders without the need for specific authorisation for that purpose.
To this end, they must submit the following information to Banco de Portugal through the BPnet Website (www.bportugal.net), through the service ‘Intermediários de crédito’, available in the area ‘Supervisão Comportamental’, within 15 days of the conclusion of the binding agreement or, if applicable, after the start of the provision of advisory services:
Identification of the lenders or groups with whom they have a binding agreement;
Indication of the credit intermediation services and, where appropriate, consultancy services rendered;
Credit agreements for which they provide credit intermediation services and, if applicable, consultancy services.
